THE RANCH Dos Angeles Ranch is owned by Jack and Lynn Fields. The ranch, Dos Angeles, ("Two Angels") is named for their two daughters.
Dos Angeles Ranch is 12,400 acres of diverse terrain and, is great South Texas habitat for quail, whitetail deer, turkeys, and exotics. About a third of the ranch was an irrigated farm, which creates an ideal habitat for quail. The remainder varies from great South Texas brush to grass-carpeted canyons. Our country is true cowboy country. We are 12 miles from the Rio Grande, and we are greatly influenced by the Mexican culture and this region's proud ranching heritage. Dos Angeles Ranch is a hunting and fishing paradise. Traversed by 3 ½ miles of beautiful Pinto Creek, Dos Angeles Ranch is a rare combination of Hill Country water (rock-bottomed, clear, and rushing water) and South Texas brush---we are one of the few ranches in Texas that is truly "South Texas" with Hill Country water! *(LONESOME DOVE was filmed on Pinto Creek, just south of our ranch boundary.) Lodge and Casitas We offer the quail enthusiast "world class accommodations." We have a large lodge---a lodge for the entertainment of guests---a lodge for enjoying Dos Angeles cuisine---a lodge for sharing the day's experiences with your friends and fellow quail enthusiasts.
The "casitas" are individual rooms---each casita is carpeted with tile accents---each casita has two twin beds or one queen bed, individual heating and air conditioning, satellite television, and a high speed, wireless internet connection. Dining and Cuisine The dining experience at Dos Angeles Ranch is truly world class. The Executive Chef Carlos Gomez is one of the world's greatest chefs---period---and, he is the Executive Chef at Dos Angeles Ranch. His current clientele is the most powerful, and the most demanding, in the world.

Whether the range is used for sharpening one's eye or competition among friends, the range is available to our guests. There are numerous waterfalls, several deep holes---water which is perfect for fly fishing or spinner cast fishing---perfect for wading or fishing from the bank. Hot Tub / Big Screen TV in the Lodge: One may decide between quail hunts to "veg"---watch a football game on the big screen TV or lie in the hot tub (the hot tub is a must under a million stars of a South Texas night!). |
